This is so important in today's world where we all want good customer service AND we want small businesses to survive.
Fortunately for us, the families already in our Hilliard Taekwondo Academy program are AMAZING!
But as an example of what is happening to small businesses since March 2020, at Hilliard Taekwondo Academy we DO experience the random visitors who ignore our guidelines and get irate if we don't "hop to" and drop whatever we are doing at that moment for our current students.
They don't want to wait a moment. They don't want to make an appointment. They don't want an email later with the information they are requesting.
They can sometimes be rude, impatient & condescending and want us to meekly do exactly what they want us to do RIGHT.NOW. !!!
And if the business doesn't, no matter how politely (though assertively with a smile) you are, they will post negative reviews. Another local business experienced this when a potential customer stopped in to ask about their services, was angry because the potential customer felt the business's turn around time (during a traditionally busy season) was too long, and then posted a negative 1-star review ... not because of bad customer service ... but because they did not like the answer to a question.
Articles report small businesses are losing their best employees, who are tired of being mistreated by customers, which can then lead to slower & lower quality service, which then leads to more customer frustration.
At Hilliard Taekwondo Academy we want to develop kids, teens and adults who spread patience, kindness & respect wherever they go to help offset this unhappy trend.

Miss Thompson is awesome, as well as all the instructors and helpers!! Blake has been there just over a year, and he always says how much he loves coming. I’ve seen so much growth in him outside of being here from lessons and behaviors that he’s being taught during class. Definitely recommend !!
